For the Betterment of the Breed

Here at Dunroamin', every one of the dogs that we have in our breeding program are tested (prior to being bred) for all of the genetic traits that the breed tends to be prone to. We evaluate the hips and the elbows (to know that they are free of hip and elbow dysplasia) Also, we test for many genetic diseases, such as EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy, PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), Cystinuria, HNPK (Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis), as well as a dilution gene that purebred labradors DO NOT carry, to make sure that they are free of this gene. Labradors only come in THREE colors: Black, yellow and chocolate! We have all three!!
